Emerald, a green form of the mineral beryl, is considered a precious stone, found in small clusters, within schist, granite, and marble layers. A value of 40 makes it an excellent trade good or item improvement item.
Due to the layers where it is found, it is often found in small clusters adjacent to the magma sea, leaving only 1 or 2 crystals far enough away from the magma to be mined.
