Using "=" in template parameters[edit]

(User page stalker) You'd need to specify a parameter name explicitly in order to use "=" in the parameter (otherwise it treats everything before the equals sign as the parameter name, which usually isn't recognized by the template). For the first (unnamed) parameter, you can do that like this:

 {{diagram|spaces=yes|1=\

 ╔═════════
 ║++[#F00]^==¢+++
 ║++═════++
 ║++[#F00]^==¢+++
 ║++═════++
 ║++[#F00]^==¢+++
 ║++═════++

 }}

Which produces:

+ + ^ = = ¢ + + +
+ + + +
+ + ^ = = ¢ + + +
+ + + +
+ + ^ = = ¢ + + +
+ + + +

That probably wasn't the best explanation, but there's a better one here. —Lethosor (talk) 01:04, 29 January 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip. However, as the equal sign blends poorly with the way I represent the walls, I also resorted to use color to differentiate. All space at the right is stockpile designed, not just between the pressure pad and the hatch. This enables some adjusting. Still, it isn't a perfect design, and in practice I find that these sort of things are best implemented at start, and not while in the middle of a 10-year fortress.--Doktoro Reichard (talk) 17:04, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
