Did some testing on a world in 50.03, and by setting the land holder + all economy trigger numbers to 1, my test fortress was eventually escalated to a barony and then a county the caravan after. The civ was unable to found new hillocks nearby due to the terrain requirement, and yet the nobility still happened. I'm pretty sure none of the customizable trigger numbers affect the old holding requirement, given none of them are at 1/4/9, just a few land holder numbers for the amount of population and production. Can anyone else confirm? Wanted to ask before actually editing -Celarious (talk) 12:44, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

Can confirm, I have one fort promoted to a duchy and no holdings were created until I retired. Seems like it just is based on value. Macawesome75 (talk) 00:53, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Appears the holding requirements may have been removed as of .50[edit]

Did some testing on a world in 50.03, and by setting the land holder + all economy trigger numbers to 1, my test fortress was eventually escalated to a barony and then a county the caravan after. The civ was unable to found new hillocks nearby due to the terrain requirement, and yet the nobility still happened. I'm pretty sure none of the customizable trigger numbers affect the old holding requirement, given none of them are at 1/4/9, just a few land holder numbers for the amount of population and production.
