If make underground trees evil, it will grow only in evil surroundings or not? --[[Special:Contributions/93.77.222.197|93.77.222.197]] 05:05, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

== Inconsistent typographical emphasis ==

My understanding is that this article may originally have emphasized two particular categories of thing, using a distinct style for each:

* Alignment–savagery combinations

* [[DF:Rule G|Game terms]] for surroundings

As it stands now, sometimes one or both of these is italicized, enclosed in quotation marks, or capitalized as a proper noun. This muddles the distinction between the property combinations and the terms by which regions having them are known, and is distracting besides.

In abstract, this issue probably carries over to other pages. I don't know if there is already a DF wiki style rule somewhere that handles this, but maybe it deserves one.

== Determining the difference between primordial and circumstantial evil regions ==

Is there any way to determine the difference between primordial and circumstantial evil regions?  I believe it may be that red-gray indicates primordiality, whereas purple indicates circumstantiality, but I don't have any proof of this.  If there is some difference, I feel it should be written into this article.

== Evil Biome Colors - Terraria? ==

Is it a coincidence that the variable color of evil biomes in a world (red or purple, across the entire region) happens to line up with the "evil biome" mechanics in Terraria?

And with the Hallow, and its grass being a teal color. Somewhere along the line, either Red or someone on the Re-Logic Team saw Dwarf Fortress' having two colors of evil biomes (red and purple) and thought "Hey... What if we added a crimson?" or something like that.

Anyway, this has no real purpose except for speculation and just being cool. The fact that your world can be crimson or corruption, coming from a long time Terraria player, just makes Dwarf Fortress that much cooler. : Sorry to burst your bubble, but a) in DF, evil biome colors are determined on a per-biome basis, not a per-world basis, and 2.) the colors have absolutely no bearing on the content of the biomes whatsoever.
