Currently testing 42.04: Wild spiders are willing to web a dwarf invader that arrived as part of a goblin siege. I'll test with other kinds of invaders, but a silk farm is definitely possible with a wild spider and an invader. --Gchristopher (talk) 04:34, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

Confirmed on 42.04: Wild spiders will also web goblin invaders, so using a dwarf as bait is not advised. Made minor edits to reflect this, but the trap designs need updated to reflect that an invader is a more convenient bait. (Place and recapture the invader in the same fashion as the spider.) --Gchristopher (talk) 09:00, 24 January 2016 (UTC)
