I just found a large group of Mandrills having a pow-wow with my guard-cows. They were all clustered motionless around the cows at the front gate, and didn't even move when my militia moved in to slaughter them. Oh wait, "The cow is fighting." They weren't sitting around having a pow-wow, they were trying to kill my guard cows! "The Mandrill looks surprised by the ferocity of the Pikedwarf's onslaught! The Pikedwarf stabs the Mandrill in the head with his +steel spear+ and the severed part sails off in an arc!" Teach you vicious little moochers a lesson, hehe. I'm adding "They have been known to attack domesticated animals as well" to the article.[[User:GhostDwemer|GhostDwemer]] 22:49, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

:In one fortress, I had a pack of mandrills gnawing on a pair of War Elephants '''constantly''' for well over a year - the elephants ended up permanently exhausted but wouldn't die, and once I killed the damn mandrills and rescued the elephants (and replaced them with fresh ones), they got infections from their hundreds of tiny wounds and had to be euthanized by my butcher. --[[User:Quietust|Quietust]] 02:42, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
