It would seem that a fair number of bodies/body parts (12-ish) can cushion a fall, in this case a kitten, donkey foal, puppy and goblin bowman surviving the fall unharmed. The goblin may have been tough, but the animals had been in cages their entire lives. Does this mean I need to remove the corpses from my splattering platform. It is on a constucted floor, if that helps. A statue at the landing zone seems to prevent this from occuring, but seems to reduce gib flight distance. This is in 40d. I have save scummed and checked it twice now, with the entire animal and POW population of my fortress. A side note: Kittens and puppies exploded much more violently than goblins, often getting twice the height and range of limb flight. Any reason for this? The wiki could use an article on fall damage. Addendum: How many babies does it take to paint a house? -[[Special:Contributions/70.26.25.115|70.26.25.115]] 16:49, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
