Up-stair creating down-stair above?[edit]

In this edit, you claimed that digging an up-stair into a wall would convert the floor tile above it into a down-stair. I just tried this in version 0.47.04 and observed no such behavior. I tried with soil, rough stone, and smooth stone, and all of the results were the same. Could you explain exactly how you were able to observe this behavior? --Quietust (talk) 14:16, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

You are right. Probably it was a bugged game or I had some script running that I was not aware of, but I am unable to reproduce it again. This only happens when the tile above has an up-stair (not a floor). Interestingly, I found that when you carve an up-stair or up/down-stair and the tile above is an up-stair (not a floor), then the tile above will turn into a natural up/down stair (even if the tile above had a constructed upstair). I will edit the wiki with this info.--MetalRocks (talk) 10:48, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
